Groupe punk-rock constitué d'anciens membres du groupe Padd'Panik, The Reverend Powell Orchestra ne s'en veut pour autant pas une réminiscence mais bel et bien un projet distinct au sein duquel s'expriment des sonorités et des influences largement orientées punk rock US 90s. Le retour au chant d'Emil explique en partie ce « nouveau » son et les plus anciens d'entre nous verront le lien de parenté avec The Gerbs dont il était le bassiste/chanteur. Métal (guitare/choeur), Vincent (guitare/choeur) et Dave (batterie/choeur) complètent cet « orchestre » familial de punk-rock entre amour et haine, vie et mort, dont le nom est un hommage au méchant ridicule incarné par Robert Mitchum dans « La nuit du chasseur » de Charles Laughton.
